Angela Sun was born in Santa Clara County in California on October 19, 1979. She is a American sportscaster journalist documentary filmmaker and TV presenter. She graduated from University of California with a master's degree in communication and sociology. Sun was a pro at surfing and took part in a variety of pro-am Surf events which led to her getting sponsorships from large brands like Roxy Reef Billabong Vans etc. Recognition she gained due to this fact was like a slingshot to propel her into the entertainment business. She later worked as an actor, sportscaster, investigational journalist, and film-director. Sun has worked for many news channels mainly as anchor. In 2003 she worked as an anchor on Fox Sports Net. She was host of American Ninja Warrior along with Matt Iseman in 2012. In 2014, Sun was host of The Yahoo Sports Minute. Sun is the only Asian American to ever appear on ESPN Fox Sports Yahoo Sports Tennis Channel. Sun has become an actress of distinction and has been in many movies, has gained fame for her skills. She's worked in films like Goliath (2016, Hit the Floor 2014-2016), A Perfect Getaway 2009) Shackled, Street Kings 2008 and Glowsticks and Drumsticks 2004. Sun's 2014 feature length document Platic Paradise The Great Pacific Garbage Patch was a documentary about the negative effects of pollution caused by plastics on oceans. She wrote, directed and produced it herself.
